Festa de Vinhos Brancos na Praça

The main communication challenge was to translate a multifaceted wine festival, rooted in traditional viticulture and contemporary cultural experience, into a clear and engaging digital narrative.

The content needed to represent producers, tastings and performances while appealing to locals, wine enthusiasts and first-time visitors. It was also important to honour Murça’s heritage, seasonality and communal spirit without relying on generic promotional language, especially within the fast and transient environment of social media.

Festa de Vinhos Brancos na Praça is a seasonal cultural and gastronomic event held in the historic centre of Murça, celebrating the distinct character and production of Douro white wines within the context of local tradition and community life.

The festival brings together producers, specialists and visitors in a multisensory experience of wine tasting, regional food, music and public interaction, highlighting the richness of Murça’s wine heritage and its role as a meeting point for oenological exploration.

The project was executed across Instagram and Facebook using a blend of formats tailored to different narrative moments during the festival cycle.

Static posts and carousels introduced producers, castes and festival highlights; short-form video (Reels and Stories) documented live tastings, performances and crowd dynamics; and event recaps provided contextual summaries that extended engagement beyond the festival days.

Content emphasised proximity and sensory engagement, combining close-up imagery of wine and food with broader contextual shots of the Praça and animated moments of community participation.

The communication effort resulted in a coherent digital narrative that positioned Festa de Vinhos Brancos na Praça as a distinctive cultural event rooted in terroir, tradition and conviviality.

Visual consistency across platforms and a rhythm of varied content formats strengthened audience engagement throughout the festival period.

By documenting both the wine and the social fabric of the celebration, the project reinforced the festival’s identity, increasing visibility and affinity among local communities and wider audiences interested in Douro wine culture.

Photography, image editing, written content and event documentation were produced as part of the project, supporting both pre-event communication and the creation of a digital archive of each edition.

This contributed to a coherent social media narrative that positioned Tomate Coração de Boi do Douro as both a premium local product and a cultural event, strengthening visual consistency across platforms and increasing engagement during the seasonal period.
